Gee, I don't know. Why not?
When I first heard about the whole blog/online-journal phenomenon, I thought,
"Eeew. Who would do that?" And the rest, as they say, is history.
In truth, I started the whole thing to amuse
Kristin
and brush up my HTML. At first, the existance and location of my site was a big secret.
Slowly I discovered that other real-world friends found it amusing, too. As I started
reading more blogs, I developed web-friends... and it was all downhill from there.
So, I could talk about why I write, but so many others have said it better. I enjoy my site. It's a fun toy. The only reason I put up this who-am-I page at all is because I've found it sometimes irritates me when others don't have such a page. Fair is fair. I can't feel justified in whining about it if I'm guilty myself. So. Situation fixed.
What, you're still here? Fine.
I'm a late-twentysomething
accidental geek ~ grew up in Silicon Valley, and started working in the software/web
industry in self defense. That, and because I realized that when acting is your job,
it becomes just that -- a job, and suddenly not all that much fun anymore. Studied
theater and English at Santa Clara University some
years ago. Hadn't done a lick of writing from the time I graduated until I started
doing this web thing, other than email (to which I confess a
severe addiction).
That will have to do for now. Update: remember those annoying email questionnaires that people used to send out? Here's mine.
